In 2023 the EU adopted the Regulation on Deforestation-free Products, as a part of a broader plan to tackle deforestation, greenhouse emissions and biodiversity loss, linked to the expansion of agricultural land and the production of commodities like wood and other products.

Under the new rules, which start applying as of 30 December 2024, economic operators importing wood and specific wood-derived products will be subject to due diligence requirements (to prove that the products do not originate from recently deforested land or have contributed to forest degradation).

During this webinar for EPLF members we will provide some insights for a better understanding of the Regulation. We will present its scope, obligations and implementation, highlighting the key aspects of the Regulation.
