Dr. Martin Schlummer, Business Development Manager at Fraunhofer-Institute for Process engineering and packaging (IVV) will give a presentation on the Horizon2020 Project "Circular Flooring", which aims to establish a circular recycling process for post-consumer PVC floor coverings.

About the project: For PVC products, only recycling rates of 20% have been achieved so far, while a large percentage of the PVC waste is still landfilled or incinerated. The Circular Flooring consortium is further developing the CreaSolv® Recycling Process to separate the PVC-resin from post-consumer floor coverings from legacy plasticisers (phthalic acid esters) that are not conform to the EU REACH-Directive. The project will receive EU funds from the Horizon2020 Programme from June 2019 to May 2013.
